Printing Tricks
Posted on June 21st, 2009 No commentsPrinting your loan mod case files from Captaloans is a pretty straight forward task. However, since you will be printing from a web browser you might get a few unwanted items appearing on your printed page. Your web browsers may add page numbers, web addresses or page titles to the header and footer of your printed page. Fortunately, most browsers allow you to configure these setting so you can turn them off if you like. We think the pages look nicer with them turned off. Here are steps to do so:For the purpose of this article we are going to focus on Internet Explorer and Fire Fox. If you have a fondness for browsers the basic procedures should be the same. Consult your browser’s help page for more information.
Internet Explorer 8
Go to “File”, “Page Setup”. To remove the printed information from the header set the drop down to “Empty”. Do the same to the footer as per your preferences. Note you may want to keep the page numbers. You can also make a note of what defaults are in case you want to reset the values.

Internet Explorer 7
Click the icon of a printer on the main task bar and go to “Page Setup”. From there go to the instructions for IE6 (the instructions are in the next section below).
Internet Explorer 6
Go to “File”, “Page Setup…”, then erase the text in the “Headers and Footers text boxes.
We recommend you put &b&p as the value for the header. This will put the page number in the top right.
Firefox
From the menu your browser (upper left corner), choose “File”, then “Page setup”. Go to the second tab called “Margins & Header/Footer”, in the drop down lists choose “Blank” for all the items you don’t want printed.
Hopefully the information provided here will help you print out professional looking documents from Captaloans. If you want to take your printing to the next level consider printing to pdf. There are quite a few pdf printer options out there. Some of them include pdfFactory, primopdf, and cutePDF. Printing to pdf makes your documents secure and portable.
Happy Printing!
